The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan has signed a memorandum on the opening a branch of the Turkish university of Economics and technology.
During the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey, a joint statement on the results of the first Uzbek-Turkish High Level Strategic Cooperation Meeting was held in Ankara on February 19.
It should be noted that – Turkey is one of the leading trade partners of our country. In recent years, Turkish business has expanded its activities in Uzbekistan. In particular, the bilateral trade turnover in Uzbekistan in the last year exceeded $ 2.5 billion.
A number of agreements on trade and economic relations between the two countries were also has signed during the event. In particular, the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Uzbekistan has signed a Memorandum on the opening of the Tashkent branch of the Turkish University of Economics and Technology under the Union of Chambers and commodity exchanges of Turkey “TOBB”.
The initiative of the Сhamber of Commerce and industry of Uzbekistan to open a branch of the Turkish University of Economics and Technology was put forward and agreed during the Business Council of Turkish Speaking States held in October 2019 in Tashkent.
The branch of the university, which is planned to open in Tashkent, will train specialists in business and entrepreneurship on the basis of dual education system.
